Northern Vietnam, from peaks to bays

This trip shows northern Vietnam at its most dramatic. It starts in lively Hanoi and the limestone hills, rivers and cave temples of Ninh Binh. Next come the terraced valleys and hill-tribe villages around Sapa, and the summit of Fansipan, the "Roof of Indochina". It ends with an overnight cruise on Halong Bay.

This is a relaxed six-day trip, with an overnight coach from Sapa back to Hanoi. You can change every hotel, upgrade and inclusion. Send us the brief and we will rebrand and cost it as your own.

It suits nature lovers, active travellers and FIT couples or small groups. The focus is northern Vietnam’s landscapes (rivers through limestone hills, terraced valleys and a mountain summit), not cities. It also works for soft-adventure groups on request.

Yes. You can change every hotel, activity and night, and the itinerary is fully white-label. Popular changes include a flight back from Sapa instead of the overnight sleeper coach, a second night in Sapa for a longer trek, or a luxury Halong cruise.

From September to November, the Sapa rice terraces turn golden and the skies are clear over Halong Bay and Ninh Binh. March to May is green and mild. December to February is cold in Sapa, with rare mountain frost, so clients should pack warm clothes.

Yes. It runs private by default for FIT and couples, and it also works for small series groups. For larger MICE incentives, we usually replace the sleeper coach with a flight or private coaches. This keeps group logistics smooth.

Very little. The Cat Cat Village walk is gentle, and your clients reach the Fansipan summit by cable car, not on foot. For active travellers who want more of a challenge, we can add multi-day treks.
